Your library card also gives you access to our in house computers. Computers available with internet access and Microsoft Office products for public use.
We do not charge late fees- only charged if a book is lost for 45 days or is damaged.
Library Card Eligibility
North Kansas City Public Library cards are available free to residents of Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties in Missouri and Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas.
Library Card Application
Come by the library to complete an application any time we are open. You can also download the application below–please note that you should not sign your application until you bring it to the library. Bring a photo ID to the library’s front desk, and we’ll verify your application information and signature and get you your brand new library card. The library will only use your contact information to get in touch with you about your checkouts and other services you use and will never share it with others.
For patrons under the age of 13 an ID is not required to sign up for a library card. A parent or guardian must sign the application. The parent or guardian acknowledges responsibility for the library card and the materials borrowed.
