Event Details

Join us for a multi-part spring series: Make a Quilted Jacket. This project-based series will span 5-6 sessions in April and May, and will require attendance at most (ideally all!) of these sessions in order to complete the garment. Before registering for this series of garment construction sessions, please register for the Quilted Jacket Intro class on April 2, where we'll discuss the project's scope, talk materials, and select patterns.

This series will involve selecting a pattern and fabrics, and cutting and piecing the garment's lining and shell. At these Construction sessions (currently April 16, April 30, May 7, May 14, and May 21), we'll work on cutting and constructing our jacket's lining and shell.

Pls note: Registration for the first Construction class in this series (on April 16) automatically saves your spot in the subsequent sessions (no need to sign up for each individually!).

Lastly, participants in this series need to have taken the Library's Intro to the Sewing Machine class with instructor Patty Ibarra at some point in the past. If you're new to the library's sewing space and/or haven't taken Patty's Intro class--but want to participate in this coat-making series--pls email Amy at abrown@nkcpl.org. (We'll get something figured out!)

This series is for adult sewists only.
